Bassett is a wonderful character, an unusual antique English teddy who was made to be dressed. He has masses of charm which really compensate for the wear and tear!
His clothes are old, (perhaps not original to him) but they do appear to have been on him for a time and his jacket in particular is "made to measure"!
Bassett really is such a funny old boy. He has a mohair head, his original, gorgeous glass painted eyes, cloth body and limbs with mohair and felt feet and mohair and fabric paws. His missing left ear has been disguised by his comical red hat and although he has obviously been well loved and has his faults, is still a real treasure.
