Circa 1920's, a rare toy rabbit novelty, possibly of French origin. He is made from cotton/linen type fabrics and has button eyes which are possibly not original to him but they are old and a little bit tatty. He is woodwool filled and has some obvious signs of wear to his fabric body and head.
I think his scarf is original, as are the wooden "bullets" in his black belt. The bullets and scarf inspired me to give him the wonderful old postacard, a clever cartoon type sketch showing a wounded huntsman returning home. I like to think the Buck the rabbit fought back!! £65 complete with old postcard, or £55 on his own.
